§ 13-52. License required.

Latest version.

It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the practice of being a pawnbroker as herein defined without first obtaining a license to do so from the county administrator. Said license shall meet the provisions of section 54.1-4001 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, including, but not limited to, the provision of the applicant's date of birth, designation as to the exact location that such business shall be conducted and information sufficient to the sheriff of the county to prove the good character of the applicant.
