§ 21-1. Definitions.

The following definitions shall apply to this chapter.

Cell: An organizational unit of tires. The tires within a cell may touch each other.

Fire control plan: A document addressing the requirements established in NFPA 231D and section 8-18 of this Code and is approved by the local fire official or fire marshal.

Tire: A solid or pneumatic covering for a wheel, typically of rubber or a similar elastic synthetic material fitted around a wheel's rim with the general purpose to absorb shock and provide traction for vehicles, trailers and other mobile equipment. Tires mounted on or attached to wheels as would be necessary for the uses above described shall not be considered as a tire for the purpose of this chapter.

Tire storage facility. Any parcel of land upon which are stored two hundred fifty (250) or more tires. Parcel of land shall be determined by its unique Franklin County Tax Map Number.
