§ 3-57. Purpose of article.

(a)

This article is enacted according and pursuant to Code of Virginia § 15.1-510, for the purpose of providing necessary regulations for musical or entertainment festivals conducted in open spaces, not within an enclosed structure, and for any gathering or group of individuals for the purpose of listening to or participating in entertainment which consists primarily of musical rendition conducted in open spaces, not within an enclosed structure, in the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens and inhabitants of the county.

(b)

The provisions of this article shall not apply to any portion of the county that is subject to the requirements of the zoning ordinance, as identified in section 25-45 of the Franklin County Code.
