§ 5.1-13. Conditions of street, highway and roadway occupancy.

  • (a)

    All structures, lines and equipment erected by the grantee within the county shall be so located as to cause no interference with the proper use of streets, highways and roadways, and to cause no interference with the rights and reasonable convenience of property owners who adjoin any of such streets, highways and roadways. The cable television system shall be constructed and operated in compliance with all adopted county and national construction and electrical codes and shall be kept current with new codes.

    (b)

    Whenever the county shall require the relocation or reinstallation of any property of grantee in any streets of the county, it shall be the obligation of the grantee upon notice of such requirement to immediately remove and relocate or reinstall such property as may be reasonably necessary to meet the requirements of the county. Such relocation, removal or reinstallation by grantee shall be at the sole cost of grantee.

    (c)

    Grantee shall have the authority to trim trees overhanging the streets, highways and roadways of the county so as to prevent the branches of such trees from coming in contact with grantee's wires and cables. All trimming shall be done under the supervision and direction of the county and at the expense of grantee.

    (d)

    In case of disturbance of any street, highway or roadway caused by grantee, grantee shall, at its own cost and expense, and in a manner approved by the county, replace and restore such streets in as good a condition as before the work involving such disturbance was done.
