§ 5.1-2. Purpose.

It is the purpose of this chapter to provide for the subsequent issuance of a franchise or franchises authorizing the construction, maintenance and operation of cable television systems which will serve present and future needs and welfare of the citizens of Franklin County. Said systems in their establishment, construction, operation, maintenance and regulations shall be subject to and in compliance with the terms contained herein, the franchise agreements referred to herein, and all applicable laws, rules, regulations and orders of any governmental agency having jurisdiction of the same.
